Artist Statement

I believe every individual has a story to tell, and though every story is not inherently visible to me, I, as a photographer, value the obligation to capture the beauty of this individuality and render the truth when portraying my subjects.

With truth as a primary focus in my art, I construct compositions to reflect or enhance the beauty of what is seen. Be it a laugh or a fierce look, your head covered in flowers or merely a headshot, I work to create portraiture that speaks volumes about who you are. Photographs have the powerful and uncanny ability to reveal some truth about your story and expose the beauty of the everyday. It is because of this, I am fueled to create.
